SAN DIEGO - Californer -- RadioMobile, Inc., a provider of mobile data communications technology to fire and EMS, announced that El Dorado County Emergency Services Authority has selected their IQ Mobile Software for mobile data communications, digital dispatching and automatic vehicle location (AVL).  The IQ Mobile application provides agencies of all sizes with real-time incident dispatching, mapping and navigation, vehicle locations and status updates, and mobile messaging. Available for both Windows and iOS, IQ Mobile helps shorten response times, increase accuracy and accountability while ensuring that everyone has access to the same mission-critical data.

"El Dorado County is geographically and topographically challenged. The need for effective connectivity is of major importance to reduce response times and deliver timely service," said Brian Veerkamp, Executive Director of the Emergency Services Authority. "By utilizing RadioMobile's hardware and software, our communities will be much better served by closest unit dispatching, vehicle tracking, connectivity, and routing."

The Emergency Services Authority provides and supports fire and emergency medical services to the Western Slope service area of El Dorado County, California. The service area spans 1370 square miles with a resident population of 120,000 which can double on weekends and holidays due to recreational tourism. The Emergency Services Authority's solution included installing IQ Mobile on their in-vehicle iPads providing two-way communication with the ECC, map navigation, vehicle-to-vehicle messaging, map layers and preplans. The deployment included a pilot program with the Authority's dispatch agency, CAL FIRE. After thorough testing, the system officially went live on April 1, 2021.

"Implementing this new system means more efficient, effective, and improved service for our communities," said Veerkamp.  "RadioMobile has been great to work with and we look forward to our future together as we strive to meet the demands of Emergency Services in El Dorado County."
