GIC Car Clinic in San Jose is offering free brake checks for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The shop will give 10% of brake repair proceeds to Brakes for Breasts, which funds breast cancer vaccine research at Cleveland Clinic.
SAN JOSE, Calif. - Californer -- GIC Car Clinic is doing its part to fight breast cancer this October. The family-owned San Jose auto repair shop is offering free brake checks all month long for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
If a driver's car needs brake work, GIC Car Clinic will also donate 10% of the repair to Brakes for Breasts. Every brake service or brake replacement job comes with free brake pads. That means drivers can keep their families safe on the road and help a great cause at the same time.
"Breast cancer touches so many families, including the ones we see in our shop every day," said Alan Yu, owner of GIC Car Clinic. "Helen and I wanted a way to help that fits who we are. Good brakes keep people safe, and now every brake job can help fund research that may one day stop this disease."
Brakes for Breasts is a yearly campaign run by independent auto repair shops across the country. The money raised goes to Cleveland Clinic to help fund a breast cancer vaccine. The goal of the vaccine is to stop breast cancer before it starts.
