According to Daniel Crotzer, CEO at Fractal EMS Inc., other companies proposing an American BMS have not adequately addressed cybersecurity concerns. Some companies are licensing foreign BMS or only providing top-level devices that do not fully address cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities. This partnership with Gold Electronic Equipment Inc. aims to bring an advanced American BMS to the market while emphasizing innovation, security, and support for American technology.
The Fractal BMS is scheduled for UL testing in late October 2024 and aims to become the gold standard for BESS deployments by mitigating risks associated with Foreign Entities of Concern (FEOC) and known cyber vulnerabilities in programmable devices. This American BMS will be available globally for battery manufacturers seeking a reliable and secure solution for their battery management needs.
