HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Californer -- The Mentortainment Group has inked a development deal with Los Angeles-based Providence Film Group. Providence, a subsidiary of Valiant Eagle Inc., will provide development financing for the action feature film 'Rise of the Tarragon', created, written, and produced by Kelvin 'KT' Taylor. The film boasts a diverse, international cast and female Director.
Chris Yen and John Salvitti are set to direct the martial arts-influenced project. Yen, the younger sister of one of Hong Kong's top action stars Donnie Yen ('IP Man' franchise), is a Martial Artist/Actress/Director known for 'Shanghai Knights' with Jackie Chan and 'Malone'. Salvitti has worked on several films as Stunt Director including 'Blade 2' with Wesley Snipes and 'Pound of Flesh' with Jean-Claude Van Damme. Rich Thorne ('X-Men', 'X2', 'Alien vs. Predator', 'I, Robot', and more) will be Special FX Supervisor/Producer.
Actor Jensen Atwood will star as the main character. Other actors who have committed to the film are Carmen Electra, two-time Emmy nominee Mark Christopher Lawrence, ex NFL star turned actor Vernon Davis, Marina Mazepa, Bethany Clayton, Jeremy Meeks, Yissendy Trinidad, and introducing Martial Artist/Actor Abbas Alizada. Alizada is known as the "Afghan Bruce Lee" and bears a stunning resemblance to the late great legendary Bruce Lee.

Producers are Xavier Mitchell, Henry Penzi, Vanzil Burke, Dominic Aldridge, Dianna Liner, along with Consulting Producer Troy Beers, and Coordinating Producer/Publicist Melinor Moore. Director of Photography will be, multi-award-winning Cinematographer/Producer/Director, Lukas Colombo.
Rounding out the cast are UK Actress/Model Kharris Macey, Jerome Ro Brooks, Nazo Bravo, Diamonique, Dorien Wilson, Quartay Denaya, Hero Hiroka, Christian Rogers, Chase Del Rosario, Garland Spencer, Masha Arielle, William T. Jones, Karras Jordan, Oneya D'Amelio, Dontray Wedlow, and Rapper/Actor, Blue Ragg$ who will also provide the title track.
