About Repegs:
Repegs is a community engagement and payment platform designed to empower communities by connecting users, local businesses, and charities. Our mission is to create a healthier, more connected local economy through innovative technology and community-driven initiatives.
Founded in 2020 in Byron Bay, Australia, a region where seasonal tourism and close-knit locals had formed a dual economy, Repegs was initially conceived as a locals' discount card. Repegs (called Pegs in Australia) was adopted around the country, as word spread amongst business owners about the open channel of communication with their customers. Entrepreneur and Repegs / Pegs founder Adam Russell quickly evolved the program into a block-chain supported, digital wallet and social engagement platform to better expand the idea to more communities throughout Australia.
