FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Californer -- A south Florida company joins the growing kava and kratom industries, but this time, it's not a kava bar. Luke Lockart, a kava bar patron himself, founded Lockart Enterprises LLC, a kava and kratom education, consulting, and consumer advocacy firm based out of Fort Lauderdale.
According to Luke Lockart, Founder & Chief Executive Officer, he plans to: provide assistance to small businesses in the kava and kratom industries (such as education and certificate programs for owners, managers, and kavatenders); advocate for a "common sense" approach to regulation establishing a minimum standard of quality for kava and kratom sold in headshops, vape stores, and bars; provide kava bar management services with packages tailored to each client; and establish a philanthropic initiative to give back to the community and to assist rehab centers across the tri-county area obtain more resources from local government agencies.

"Responsible consumption of kava and kratom can help lessen symptoms of opiate withdrawal. Kratom is also known to relieve anxiety, stress, and is a natural anti-inflammatory which alleviates pain in so many users," Lockart said.
In addition to educating the general public on kava and kratom, Lockart and his team will also be advocating for consumer rights. Recently, the World Health Organization heard arguments from those who oppose the use of kratom and those who support it. Those who oppose had an objective for the W.H.O. to initiate a world-wide ban on the product. Those who support kratom spoke of how it has been life-altering for them and helped in their respective situations. "The entire anti-kratom argument was just absurd," Lockart said. "However, I am pleased with the outcome from W.H.O. but the fight is not over to protect the rights of consumers and industry professionals."

Lockart Enterprises LLC will be working with bar owners across Florida to acquire quality product from reliable sources. "We have the relationships already so my team and I will serve as brokers on behalf of the kava bar owner," Lockart said. "We will also help bar owners find kavatenders and ensure they are trained properly through our education program."
The company plans to give back to the community. Lockart explained how the kava bar industry and the patrons become one big family. "At the end of the day, we are all there for one another and no one gets left behind."
The kava and kratom industry has seen rapid growth across Florida and Lockart Enterprises has eyes set on expanding beyond the state for kava and kratom to be accessible in all 50 states. "We have a long way to go but those who know the 'kava crowd' know that we are a small but mighty group," said Lockart. "I have no doubt we will prevail in fighting the good fight."
