Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach, CA - The City of Long Beach Economic Development Department (Department) is seeking input from residents, local service providers, employers, and other stakeholders as they update their 2025-2028 Local Plan. The plan, developed every four years by the Department's Long Beach Workforce Innovation Network (LBWIN), aims to address the employment and job training needs of Long Beach and Signal Hill.
The public is encouraged to participate in a series of upcoming events to learn more about the Plan and provide their input. These events will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024 at Future LB, Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024 at North Long Beach Higher Education Center, and Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025 in a virtual meeting. Interpretation services will be available in Spanish and Khmer during the presentations.

According to LBWIN, the Plan will highlight their efforts to customize regional and local services for the benefit of residents and businesses in Long Beach and Signal Hill. The deadline for submission of the Plan to the California Workforce Development Board (CWDB) is March 31, 2025. Before its submission, there will be a 30-day period for public comment.
Previously known as Pacific Gateway Workforce Innovation Network, LBWIN underwent a name change as part of Mayor Richardson's Budget Recommendations for the City's Fiscal Year 2025 Budget which was approved by the City Council.
