~ Long Beach, CA - The City of Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine (PRM) is excited to announce a series of upcoming job fairs aimed at sharing information about current and future job openings for Recreation Program Leaders. These part-time, non-career positions will play a vital role in assisting with various programs at the city's numerous beautiful parks.
The job fairs will be held at different parks throughout the city on three separate dates. The first will take place on Saturday, November 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Park located at 1950 Lemon Ave. The second fair will be held on Tuesday, December 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Whaley Park on 5620 E Atherton St. Lastly, the third fair will take place on Saturday, January 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Houghton Park located at 6301 Myrtle Ave.

During these events, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of PRM programs that are currently hiring or will soon begin hiring within the Community Recreation Services Bureau. These programs include Day Camps, Youth Sports, Older Adults, Teens and Mobile Recreation. Prospective candidates are encouraged to attend and meet with PRM supervisors and staff to gain insight into what it's like to be a Long Beach Recreation Leader.
