Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach, CA - As summer approaches, the City of Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine (PRM) is gearing up to offer a variety of fun and engaging activities for youth. From June 16 to August 22, 2025, children ages 5 to 12 can participate in Summer Aquatics and Park Day Camps. Registration for these camps will open on Saturday, April 12 at 9 a.m. through the PRM website, LBParks.org.
The Summer Park Camps will provide children with a range of activities including games, crafts, physical fitness, and enrichment programs. The camps will operate from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended care available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for an additional fee. The cost for regular day camp is $115 per week and $150 for extended care.
These camps will take place at eight different locations throughout Long Beach including Bixby Park, El Dorado Park West, Pan American Park, Silverado Park, Stearns Champions Park, Veterans Park, Wardlow Park, and Whaley Park.
In addition to the Summer Park Camps, PRM will also offer two aquatics day camps for youth ages 5 to 12. The Belmont Junior Beach Camp will be held at Belmont Plaza Pool and will feature activities such as beach play, kayaking, canoeing and American Red Cross swimming lessons. The Bayshore Beach Camp at Bayshore Park will offer similar activities as well as marine biology lessons. The weekly cost for these camps is $165 for regular day camp with extended care options available for an additional fee.

Registration for all camps can be done online through the PRM website or in person at designated self-serve enrollment locations on April 12 from 9 a.m. to noon. These locations include Bixby Park, Pan American Park, Silverado Park, Veterans Park, and Whaley Park. Additionally, community members can register at any open Long Beach Public Library location with available public computer labs.
