Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach, CA - The Los Angeles Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk has announced that Vote by Mail ballots will be distributed starting October 5th for the upcoming Nov. 4, 2025 Special Statewide Election. This election will give California voters the opportunity to vote on Proposition 50, a constitutional amendment that could potentially change the state's congressional district maps for the next five elections.
All registered voters in Los Angeles County, including those in Long Beach, will receive a Vote by Mail ballot in the mail. These ballots can be returned by mail with no postage required or dropped off at any Vote Center in Los Angeles County or at one of the many Vote by Mail Ballot Drop Boxes.
Long Beach residents will have access to 20 Ballot Drop Box locations throughout the city, providing them with convenient and secure options for returning their ballots. These locations include popular spots such as Bixby Park Community Center, Cal State University Long Beach, and Long Beach City Hall.

The Ballot Drop Boxes will open on October 6th and remain open until 8 p.m. on Election Day. This gives voters ample time to return their ballots and have their voices heard. Additionally, a list of Vote Centers offering in-person voting, same-day registration, and accessible services is also available on the website.
