SAN DIEGO - Californer -- Visions Museum of Textile Art (VMOTA) will host an exclusive behind-the-scenes lecture with Disney's Live Entertainment team, offering Star Wars fans a rare opportunity to explore the costume design of Star Wars Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland.
The free event will take place on Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at San Diego Mesa College, coinciding with Star Wars Life Day, a Wookiee holiday celebration.
Attendees will hear directly from the costume designer and project manager responsible for creating the immersive wardrobe featured at Disneyland Park. Following the lecture, a curated selection of costumes will be available for viewing up close.
"We are thrilled to welcome Disney's Live Entertainment team to share their creative process with our community," said Katrina Bruins, Executive Director of Visions Museum of Textile Art. "The costumes of Star Wars Galaxy's Edge are not only visually stunning, but they also embody thoughtfully-produced, functional materials and design that make the land such an immersive and authentic experience. This lecture offers a rare opportunity to understand how textiles and wardrobe play a vital role in storytelling, while meeting the needs of those wearing them."
