COSTA MESA, Calif. - Californer -- LUUM.iO, a leader in innovative lighting solutions, is excited to announce the launch of a pioneering Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology, leveraging Skyworks' advanced Power Source Equipment (PSE) chips that include X-PoE® (Extended PoE) extensions. This offering enables X-PoE® node-less direct dimming of LEDs, in addition to standard PoE capabilities compliant with IEEE 802.3bt standards.
Interested in making X-PoE® a universal standard accessible to all PoE switch manufacturers, the engineering teams at both companies have worked together culminating in the successful launch of the award-winning X-PoE® switch in November 2023, which is now moving to scale production.
"We are thrilled to work with Skyworks to bring this revolutionary technology to the market," said Karl Jonsson, Chief Strategy Officer of LUUM.iO. "This development not only sets a new standard in the PoE industry but also demonstrates our commitment to innovation and excellence in providing sustainable and advanced lighting solutions."
