This program will work closely with our industry partners, Canadian Natural Resources, Husky Energy, and TORC Oil & Gas Ltd. to showcase how real time soil analysis can add value in the remediation and reclamation space.
EDMONTON, Alberta - May 16, 2019 - Californer -- Maapera Analytics Inc. has been awarded a Product Demonstration Program grant from Alberta Innovates.
The Product Demonstration Program (PDP) is designed to support technologies in the mid-to-late developmental stages. The funding is intended to assist the SME (they should consider spelling this out as all audiences may not know what it stands for) to work in collaboration with industry partners who would like to evaluate the use of their product or service.
The PDP grant awarded to Maapera is for roughly approximately 154,000$ and the funds will be used in conjunction with industry support from Canadian Natural Resources, Husky Energy, and TORC Oil &Gas Ltd. to demonstrate Maapera's technology in the soil analysis sector, across a set of 60 sites with a combination of hydrocarbon and salinity contamination impacts.

By partnering with the above firms, Maapera will be able to demonstrate the value this technology can provide to anyone working with assessing and remediating of contaminated sites.
The underlying technology Maapera has developed improves with every site we work on due to the inclusion of machine learning algorithms. The application of our technology to approximately 60 sites, as part of this program, will nearly double the number of real world sites it has been applied to. While Maapera has moved in to the commercialization phase we are dedicated to continuing to improve the system and services we provide with value-added R&D.
Maapera is an Environmental Services Company that is combining Advanced Spectroscopy Sensing Tools with Proprietary Machine Learning Based Analysis and Automated Visualization to improve the soil analysis and remediation activities around the world.
