Fans of Bloodsport & Cobra Kai Can Take Their Love of Martial Arts to the Mat @ Celebrity Trainer Adam McKinley's New Upscale Dojo & Retreat in the Sierra Nevada Mountains
POLLOCK PINES, Calif. - Californer -- ONI KAI Ninjutsu is a concept dojo that brings advanced martial arts training to rural communities. Adam McKinley, ONI KAI owner and General Manager, known for his pristine Van Damme-style kicks rose to fame as a digital content creator, training veteran soap actor Sean Kanan (A.J. Quartermaine / Deacon Sharpe) for Kanan's reprised villain role as Cobra Kai's and Karate Kid III's Mike Barnes.
McKinley's upcoming book, Cobra Kai Needs to Die, features McKinley's turmoil as a rising athlete in the martial arts community. "The warring Cobra Kai karate dojo mentality took over my life and became very toxic, which is why my goal is to teach my students effective self-defense tactics and apply a mind/body approach to constructively channel your inner demons," stated McKinley.

The origin of ninjutsu is often a highly disputed topic in the martial arts community, with clans from Japan's Koga and Iga regions, each claiming direct lineage. "When I was a kid growing up in the ghetto, I had no idea what Koga or Iga even were. I did know that I wanted to be like Frank Dux in Bloodsport, but I have a different teaching style than Dux, so here I am with a Dux Ryu Renegade school," said McKinley, who holds a 5th Dan in Dux Ryu Ninjutsu, and a 4th Degree Blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do.
McKinley credits his wife of ten years, Dr. Ilona Koti, for teaching him the intelligence component of ninjutsu. "My wife was a foreign diplomat and the Head of Due Diligence for a division of the United Nations where she investigated Syrian terrorists. I've since watched her find someone in the middle of the Yukon based on the location of a water tower, and change an indemnification clause as a non-attorney. If there's anyone who scares me, it's my wife. My wife and I are fully committed to serving law enforcement and our community by providing self-defense and stealth intelligence training in Pollock Pines. Come train!"
