Six browser study ranks Discover first in memory and CPU efficiency, with faster startup and near identical throughput and rendering versus Chrome.

SAN FRANCISCO - Californer -- Pervaziv AI today released new performance results for Cortex Discover, its dedicated agentic AI browser, showing that Discover ranked first in memory efficiency and CPU efficiency in a structured engineering study across six major browsers.

The study compared Cortex Discover 1.1.0 with Google Chrome, Safari, Brave, Microsoft Edge and Firefox using repeated runs on the same machine and a deterministic workload. Testing covered startup, memory, CPU, navigation, rendering, responsiveness, background tabs and synthetic video performance.

Against Chrome 152, the closest baseline because it uses the same Chromium version as Discover, Cortex Discover used 10.9% less memory during the active workload, 36.7% less with one idle tab and 19.9% less with multiple idle tabs.

Discover also launched 19.3% faster than Chrome in the warm start test and completed the aggregate navigation phase in 17.6% less wall time.

Those gains did not come from reducing workload output. Discover and Chrome both sustained approximately 60 operations per second and 60 frames per second, making their measured throughput and rendering effectively equal.

"An agentic browser should create more room for work, not compete with the work for the machine," said Anoop Jaishankar, Founder and CEO of Pervaziv AI. "Discover shows that AI can live closer to the user's workflow while the browser remains fast, efficient and accountable to measurable engineering results."

Built for AI Work That Happens Beside the Web

Pervaziv AI launched Cortex Discover as a dedicated agentic AI browser with native page awareness, reasoning across user selected tabs, visual context, file aware workflows, controlled browser actions and durable task continuity.

That makes resource efficiency especially important.

A typical enterprise session can combine dashboards, documentation, communications, video, research tabs and an active AI task. Memory and CPU consumed by the browser leave less capacity for those applications and workflows.

In the six browser campaign, Discover recorded the lowest active workload memory of the group at 1,242.4 MiB. It also used 47.4% less captured memory than Chrome during the synthetic video test, while both browsers completed every measured video run with zero dropped frames.

Measuring the Tradeoffs Too

Pervaziv AI is also publishing where Discover still needs improvement.

The company plans to expand testing across Apple silicon and Windows, add longer soak tests, real media and conferencing workloads, and established browser benchmark suites.

Cortex Discover is part of the broader Cortex Enterprise AI platform, connecting browser context with specialized AI, routing, security, privacy, verification, Cortex Connect and Cortex Cloud.
