STOCKHOLM, Dec. 5, 2024 ~ Pixelgen Technologies, a leading company in cell surface proteomics for single cells, has announced its participation at the 66th American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting and Exposition (ASH) in San Diego, California. The event will take place from December 7-10 at the San Diego Convention Center.
The company's presence at ASH is highly anticipated as it will showcase new data from its collaborators that support the application of Pixelgen's patented Molecular Pixelation (MPX) technology and kit in various scientific research areas. This marks an expansion for the company into the field of hematology.
According to Pixelgen CEO Simon Fredriksson, Ph.D., the spatial mapping of cell surface proteins is crucial for hematology researchers as it provides unprecedented insights into the organization and function of these proteins. This can greatly benefit blood cell function and disease research, leading to advancements in diagnostics, personalized therapeutics, and next-generation treatments for blood cancers, immune dysregulation, and hematopoietic disorders.
"We're excited to be participating in ASH for the first time and sharing our groundbreaking technology with the hematology community," said Dr. Fredriksson.

Pixelgen will be featured in two sessions during the event. Dr. Fredriksson will give an industry presentation titled "The Spatial Organization of Surface Proteins of Single Cells in Myelodysplastic Syndrome for Diagnostics and Drug Target Discovery By Molecular Pixelation." The presentation will include data from Dr. Aaron Viny of Columbia University and will take place on December 7 from 3:30-3:45 p.m. in Room 5B. Dr. Fredriksson will be joined by Dr. Viny during this session.
In addition, Dr. Jessica Nordlund, Associate Professor at Uppsala University's Molecular Precision Medicine research group, along with Dr. Maria Globisch, will present a poster titled "Mapping the Spatial Proteome of Individual Leukemia Cells Undergoing Fludarabine Treatment." This poster will be featured in session number 803 on December 7 from 5:30-9:30 p.m. in Halls G-H.
Attendees can also visit Pixelgen at Booth #2852 to learn more about the company's product and technology. Representatives will be available to discuss the latest data on identifying CAR-T cells and mapping their cell surface proteome for detailed mechanism of action studies. Additionally, Pixelgen has collaborated with Illumina to develop an Application Note that focuses on cancer-specific protein patterns of blood cancer cells, which will be available at the event.
The company's participation at ASH highlights its commitment to advancing research in hematology and providing innovative solutions for the scientific community. With its cutting-edge technology and collaborations with renowned institutions, Pixelgen is poised to make a significant impact in this field.
