This funeral assistance program is part of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. As part of the program, FEMA will reimburse eligible families up to $9,000 in funeral costs incurred after January 20, 2020.
