San Jose: San José to Receive 200 Small Homes from State

California's cities and counties have committed to reducing homelessness by 15% statewide by 2025, which makes them eligible for $1 billion in funding. To assist in this effort, Governor Gavin Newsom has introduced a new statewide strategy to move people out of large homeless encampments in California cities. His office will deploy 1,200 "small homes" as temporary homeless housing throughout the state, including 200 for San José.
