Series: FMBD EP Double-stage filter for high attenuation for 3-phase systems
SANTA ROSA, Calif. - Californer -- SCHURTER packs in performance with its new FMBD EP 3-phase + neutral line, double-stage EMC filter series. The new series features high attenuation capability, as well as high current and voltage ratings in a design that is significantly more compact and lighter weight than previous generations.
Modern machines are getting smaller, while the electronics to control them become increasingly sophisticated. These advanced electronics are known to create electro-magnetic interferences. EMC filters are thus increasingly needed to mitigate the resulting emissions. The FMBD EP series with its smaller footprint and higher performance is an ideal solution.
The FMBD EP offers current ratings from 16 - 230 A at an ambient temperature of 50 °C; however, the filters are qualified for use over a wide temperature range from -40 °C to 100 °C with corresponding deratings applied. The series is ENEC and cURus approved for applications up to 520 VAC and ENEC and UR approved for applications up to 760 VAC. Leakage current rating ratings are < 9.4 mA. Low leakage versions rated < 2.5 mA are also available. The FMBD EP series features screw terminals. The metal flange offers an excellent ground connection when screwed to the chassis.
