Sesh, a San Diego precision immuno-oncology company and Connect Cool Company, will use the investment to advance commercialization of its blood-based liquid biopsy technology.
SAN DIEGO - Californer -- Sesh Incorporated, a San Diego-based precision immuno-oncology company and Connect Cool Company led by founder and CEO Andrew Sinkoe, Ph.D., has been named the winner of the 2026 SDSU San Diego Angel Conference, receiving a $200,000 investment to support the continued commercialization of its blood-based liquid biopsy technology.
The investment will help Sesh advance its mission to improve treatment outcomes for cancer patients by developing a blood test designed to help clinicians determine the right individualized treatment path for each patient. Sesh's technology focuses on using liquid biopsy testing to detect predictive cancer biomarkers from a simple blood draw, supporting more personalized and timely cancer treatment decisions.
"Winning the SDSU San Diego Angel Conference is an incredible honor for Sesh and a meaningful step forward for our work in precision oncology," said Andrew Sinkoe, founder and CEO of Sesh Incorporated. "This investment will help us continue commercializing our blood test so we can support better, more individualized treatment decisions for cancer patients. We are deeply grateful to the SDAC investors, organizers, interns, sponsors, and the broader San Diego innovation community for believing in our vision."

Sesh's momentum reflects the strength of San Diego's life sciences and startup ecosystem. The company has received support from organizations and programs including Connect, EvoNexus, the National Cancer Institute, the Brink San Diego & Imperial Small Business Development Center Network, and the SDSU San Diego Angel Conference.
The 2026 SDSU San Diego Angel Conference brought together investors, founders, students and community leaders for a competitive process designed to provide early-stage startups with investor feedback, visibility and potential funding. Sesh was selected from a competitive finalist group that included Connect Springboard company Vayim among My Village Innovations, Shezza, PolyVascular and Cytodyme.
My Village Innovations and Vayim each received $35,000 investments through the conference.
"One of the most meaningful parts of SDAC was getting to know the other finalist companies and learning about the important work they are building," Sinkoe said. "The competition was strong because the companies were strong. We are grateful for the camaraderie, the feedback and the shared commitment to building companies that can make a real difference."

With the new investment, Sesh will continue advancing its precision oncology platform with the goal of helping more patients receive the therapies most likely to benefit them.
"Let's save many lives using precision oncology," Sinkoe said.
