SiliconExpert has teamed with Ultra Librarian to provide engineers access to a cloud-based database of over 14 million pre-built schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and 3D models directly within the SiliconExpert platform.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Californer -- With this new partnership between Ultra Librarian and SiliconExpert, engineers can now search for components, cross references, pricing, stock/inventory, compliance specs, and now get free symbols, footprints, and 3D models, all in one place.
"Engineers can now leverage Ultra Librarian part data directly within SiliconExpert," said Manny Marcano, president of EMA Design Automation. "Now engineers have access to a complete, superset of data they can use to make educated part decisions, ensure parts are orderable, and meet life cycle needs. Additionally, it will allow them the ability to directly download the appropriate ECAD models, so they can spend less time designing parts and more time working on critical design tasks."

Available through SiliconExpert Part Search and API Part Details, CAD models can be downloaded into the users' library in more than 20 different formats, including Cadence, Mentor and Zuken. With the integration of Ultra Librarian, users can avoid problems in the future with accurate data.
"The addition of ECAD models to SiliconExpert continues to fulfill our goal of providing engineering with unique and valuable features to help optimize their design time," said Martin Chatterton, director and general manager of SiliconExpert. "This strategic alliance provides every company the opportunity to work more efficiently and build better, budget-conscious products the first time."
