LOS ANGELES - Californer -- 50/50 Leadership, whose programs serve young women who have been in foster care, incarcerated, survived domestic violence, or experienced homelessness, is presenting a special event featuring Chef Rae Glenn, whose passion for cooking has led her from homelessness to becoming a successful Chef Manager at Bon Appetit Management Company.
The event will be held on Saturday, December 11, 5-7 PM (PST), at Bracken's Kitchen in Garden Grove, California, a nonprofit organization committed to rescuing, re-purposing and restoring both food and lives.
"Having been in a position where I needed the help of supportive people and organizations, I am privileged to be able to share the benefit of my journey and my culinary skills," Chef Rae said. "I am passionate about helping out my community and want all those who are struggling to know that wonderful organizations like 50/50 Leadership and Bracken's Kitchen are there to assist."
