Blakkkash released "Dodging Bullets, The Original Book Soundtrack" on Monday, August 10, 2020, to coincide with the book's release date.
LAKE BALBOA, Calif. - Californer -- Dodging Bullets, the Original Soundtrack features the books theme song, "Bridging The Gap" by Bizzystackss, featuring Kid Merv. Other singles on the album include, Niko Lorraine's, "Everything I Need", and songs by Bobby Love, Laura De Fazio, Yung Dellyy, Moby The Plug, Mainrida, and Iten Baby.
The songs are a mash-up of Jazz, Hip-Hop, Soul, and R&B styles that fit the different moods of the book's chapters, as you sift through the gritty urban crime tale, as it follows the main character Lou, trying to get out of the drug game that keeps luring him back, except this time, he is flirting with death, and left questioning the loyalty of those around him, including those he love the most.

The soundtrack is produced Kentrell Myers of Blakkkash Music, and the book was written by Kentrell Myers, of Blakkkash, with Michael Gerald of 5Picture Films, and told with New Orleans flair, and a hint of police corruption sprinkled on top.
As for the music, the Bridging The Gap single is in regular rotation on WWOZ, one of the world's top jazz stations with over 100,000 weekly listeners, and currently available where music downloads are sold, and the entire Dodging Bullets, the Original Soundtrack album was released on August 10, 2020.
Is this the first time anything like this has ever been done? Maybe, maybe not, but it sure is a unique way to release a book.
