The Hutchinson Trust Facebook Group Stresses Financial Empowerment

LOS ANGELES - Californer -- Put these two words financial and empowerment together. They sound simple, and understandable. But for tens of millions of Americans, particularly minorities and lower-income workers, they are words that are as unattainable as reaching the back side of the moon.

Noted political analyst Earl Ofari Hutchinson has launched a new Facebook group, The Hutchinson Trust, a financial and economic analysis group. Hutchinson was awarded certificates from the Yale University program in financial analysis and management and global finance. He completed the Global Finance course under the tutelage of former Obama Administration Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner. He is the author of Building Black Wealth Through Savings (Middle Passage Press)

Hutchinson's investments cover the range --mutual funds, energy and communications stocks, real estate, short- and long-term CDs, and Money Market accounts. He notes, "Investment Diversity and planning is the cornerstone of economic and financial analysis."
