Virtual exercise demonstrations & educational interviews with Fitness Trainer Sean Lesure, Sickle Cell community advocate Dr. Carolyn Rowley, Ph.D.
LOS ANGELES - Californer -- The recent global pandemic has caused many of us to slide into an unhealthy & sedentary lifestyle. Months of no exercise can be especially threatening to those living with Sickle Cell Disease. This Saturday, June 19th, the KIS Foundation, Inc. celebrates World Sickle Cell Day with a FREE virtual physical fitness and educational experience with a series of cardio & weight training exercises fit for SCD warriors plus informative interviews on Sickle Cell Disease from 11am/PST-3pm/PST via Instagram LIVE @kisfoundation.
Join in from the comfort of your home at 11am/pst to view live physical fitness demonstrations from SCD siblings Alyssa & Charon Simmons plus a follow-up interview with their Mom, Star Simmons, Founder- Sickle Cell Foundation of Orange County. At 1pm/pst, Sean Lesure of LeSure Fit, discusses the importance of daily exercise to strengthen muscles that may come under attack while in a sickle cell crisis. Closing out the day is SCD advocate Dr. Carolyn Rowley of Cayenne Wellness Center. She will share the overall benefits of consistent exercise for those living with sickle cell disease at 2pm/pst.
