LOS ANGELES - Californer -- Are YOU a Princess?, the debut children's book by author Heidi Zhang, has been honored with the prestigious Mom's Choice Awards® Gold Award, placing it among the best in family-friendly media, products and services. The MCA evaluation process uses a propriety methodology in which entries are scored on a number of elements including production quality, design, educational value, entertainment value, originality, appeal, and cost.

I'm incredibly honored to receive the Mom's Choice Gold Award for my first children's book," said Heidi Zhang. "Now more than ever, it's important for children to learn kindness, empathy, and tolerance in our melting pot society."

To be considered for an award, each entrant submits three samples for testing that are donated after evaluation completion. Evaluators are bound by a strict code of ethics to ensure objectivity and evaluations are submitted to the MCA Executive Committee for final review and approval.
