TOKYO, Japan - Californer -- Tobu Railway Group will host the "Take-Akari" Bamboo Lantern Festival in East Tokyo -- the area between Tokyo Skytree Town and Asakusa, from November 7, 2025, to January 31, 2026. This charming festival of traditional lights was launched at Ushijima Shrine in 2022. This year, the illumination expands from the Sumida River Walk® to include the entire Kita-Jikkengawa Riverside Terrace area. Bamboo lanterns will connect the Asakusa area and the Tokyo Skytree Town area, creating a captivating 1,300-foot-long path of light, adorned with bamboo sculptures and bamboo balls for pedestrians to enjoy.
