One of the hazards of working as a rideshare driver is that you are always in your car.

Because of this, there is a tendency to eat out.

Interviews with rideshare drivers revealed the following daily habits:

- Many paid upwards of $8 a day for breakfast.
- Lunch meals could cost close to $10 dollars.
- Dinner meals were easily $10 to $15 dollars.

A national study from CreditDonkey shows the typical American spends about $1,200 on fast food annually. That breaks down to $100 a month and roughly $12.50 spent per meal.

But the average rideshare driver spends $20 to $30 dollars per DAY on food!

But it gets worst!

Statistics show that many rideshare drivers use $100 dollars a day as their income goal. But when you subtract the average daily cost of $30 dollars for gasoline that makes their daily take only $70 dollars.

Working 30 days a month and earning $70 dollars a month equals $2,100 dollars. When you subtract $625 (on the low side) that makes their monthly income only $1,475.

That's only a $17,700 dollar a year income.

(Sadly, food delivery drivers tend to earn even less).

According to Census.Gov an individual income at poverty level would be $18,225 a year!

This number doesn't take into account:

- Monthly car note.
- Insurance.
- Wear and tear on the vehicle.
