October 1 fundraiser at Heather Farm Park, Walnut Creek, supports educational programs for children in need
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Californer -- The 2022 Yours Humanly Break a Sweat for Education® 5K Run & Walk and free Kids Fun Run, presented by Pacific Service Credit Union, will be held on Saturday, October 1, at Heather Farm Park, Walnut Creek, California. Funds raised by this popular family-friendly event support programs of Yours Humanly, a Northern California-based global nonprofit that transforms the lives of children in need around the world by providing access to quality education and equitable resources. Yours Humanly is again partnering with Mt. Diablo Education Foundation, which serves students of the Mt. Diablo Unified School District.
Supporters who don't live in the area or who can't make the October 1 event can register as virtual participants, then run or walk their own 5K course wherever they happen to be.

More than an athletic event, however, the Break a Sweat for Education 5K Run & Walk and Kids Fun Run is a fundraiser for education and a fun way for people to make a profound difference in the lives of others by helping children in need receive the education they deserve.
"Our 8th annual Break a Sweat for Education 5K Run & Walk is an excellent opportunity for individuals, families, and friends to help raise money and awareness for a great cause," says Sunny Singh, Yours Humanly Founder & CEO. "This fundraising event rewards people on so many levels, and we welcome all ages and skill levels to join us on this journey to help children achieve better, brighter futures through education. This is a great way to spend a Saturday morning!"
Heather Farm Park is located at 301 N. San Carlos Dr, Walnut Creek, California. Kickoff, 8am; Kids Fun Run, 8:45am; 5K, 9am.
