SAN FRANCISCO - Californer -- Pervaziv AI today announced new Cortex capabilities designed to create a clearer path from conversation to reviewable engineering work. The release adds Chat Collections, Fork a Chat, and governed workflow coordination for eligible engineering tasks.

Useful AI work rarely fits into one prompt. A question can become an investigation. An investigation can produce several possible approaches. One direction may then become an implementation task that requires testing, review, verification, and a decision about what happens next.

Chat Collections let users group related conversations and return to earlier work across Visual Studio Code, browser, and mobile chat experiences. Fork a Chat lets a user create a separate conversation from completed chat history or a selected completed response, making it easier to explore another approach without disturbing the original discussion.

When a chosen objective becomes eligible engineering work, Cortex can turn it into a durable workflow of dependent steps. Ready work can proceed in parallel when writable files do not overlap, while dependent steps wait for required results. Specialist workers operate with bounded roles and defined scope, while a workflow ledger carries relevant findings and decisions forward.

Completion is tied to evidence rather than a worker statement alone. Cortex records structured results and evidence associated with the project revision and change being assessed. An independent verification gate checks that evidence before dependent work can move forward. A worker cannot approve its own result.
