AKCP, the world's leading manufacturer of environmental and power monitoring solutions, today announced a firmware update across its product line, introducing native BACnet protocol support. This allows seamless integration with Building Management Systems (BMS), reinforcing AKCP's role as a trusted partner for data centers, telecommunications, and industrial facilities worldwide.
SAN FRANCISCO - Californer -- With this update, AKCP's sensorProbe+ series of base units now feature BACnet/IP compatibility, enabling communication of sensor data — such as temperature, humidity, differential pressure, and power parameters — directly to BACnet-compliant systems. This eliminates the need for third-party gateways or middleware, simplifying deployment and cutting integration costs.
Key benefits of the new firmware include:
"At AKCP we are always seeking to add value to our monitoring system and expand the number of systems we can communicate with. Implementing BACnet, a protocol that's commonly found in modern building automation, further enhances our product range" said Nicholas Barrowclough, President of AKCP. "This enhancement ensures our customers can incorporate AKCP's environmental monitoring capabilities directly into their facility management systems with minimal effort."
