LOS ANGELES - Californer -- Scientology Network's MEET A SCIENTOLOGIST, the weekly series spotlighting the everyday lives of Scientologists from around the world and all walks of life, announces an episode featuring award-winning fried shallot producers The Chengs.
MEET A SCIENTOLOGIST airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Scientology Network.
Prized in some of the world's finest cuisines for their rich flavor and enticing aroma, shallots are both a delicacy and a seasoning, celebrated for elevating any dish they touch. Jeffrey Cheng, his wife, Angel Lin, and their son, Mick, have dedicated themselves to producing the highest quality fried shallot products, earning a loyal following in Taiwan and among food lovers around the world.
ABOUT JEFFREY CHENG, ANGEL LIN AND MICK CHENG
Jeffrey Cheng grew up around his family's fried shallot business in Taiwan and, a few years after marrying Angel Lin, decided to join the company. Partnering in life and in business, Angel brought her skills in organization and management, helping guide its growth. As the business faced tough competition from cheap imports flooding the market and driving younger consumers away from using fried shallots, Jeffrey instituted meticulous quality control using traditional techniques with modern technology. Their son, Mick Cheng, later joined the company after school and focused on branding and marketing to reach a new generation of consumers. Together, they expanded the business, turning a once-fading tradition into a story of bold reinvention and introducing the rich flavors of Taiwanese fried shallots to new fans around the world.
