Marketplace leverages image indexing to give artists long-term visibility at no cost
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Californer -- Noatanga, a Franco-American start-up, recently launched an online marketplace platform that uses image indexing to enhance visibility for photographers, illustrators and visual artists. By combining image indexing, machine learning and SEO, Noatanga keeps creative work accessible and searchable across the web.
Image indexing optimizes images by adding contextual information, such as alt text and meta tags, so search engines can discover, analyze and rank them more effectively. Through meta tags and alt text, audiences can find artists by style rather than hashtags or follower counts, while also extending visibility beyond the platform.
Noatanga profiles function like website portfolios, optimized for web discoverability. Each profile is optimized for long-term indexing by search engines like Google. By referencing profiles in this way, each artist's presence is strengthened both within the marketplace and across the web, increasing organic traffic over time.

Noatanga Co-founder and Developer Denis Semmau adds, "We believe creativity should stay at the heart of an artist's life — not tech stress or the pressure to chase algorithms."
While optional premium features will be introduced in the future, the platform currently focuses on building an artist-first ecosystem designed for long-term discoverability. At launch, artists can create free profiles that include:
