A Comedy and Music Experience That Entertains, Uplifts, and Gives Back

LOS ANGELES - Californer -- Angelique Bates Presents: All That & A Bag of Jokes delivered an unforgettable night of comedy, live music, and community-driven impact at AYE-CHO-EMI, a creative arts space in Highland Park. Hosted by actress, advocate, and All That alum Angelique Bates, the event united entertainment and purpose in front of a vibrant, engaged crowd. With the support of a few of her fellow All That cast members, industry peers, and supporters this magical event was highly anticipated.

Guests experienced powerful performances from a diverse and dynamic lineup:
  • Justen Best, actor and recording artist known for his commanding stage presence and emotional delivery
  • Kiana Corley, a rising indie R&B singer-songwriter praised for her soulful voice and authenticity
  • Ventage, a genre-blending musical duo delivering rich sounds rooted in jazz, funk, and hip-hop
  • Marcus Dawson, an animated comedian with sharp, relatable humor
  • Chris Lewis, known for his cool, confident comedy and observational style
  • Karen Haber, a respected Comedy Store veteran and Pauly Shore favorite whose photo graces the club's legendary wall
  • D Paris, a show-stopping horn player and vocalist whose renditions of soul classics lit up the night
  • Lisa Orkin, a bold and witty comedian, voice actor, and Creative Director of The Radio Ranch.

The night also featured a bar sponsored by The Endless Pour, plus a premium raffle that included:

A portion of proceeds benefited AYE-CHO-EMI's youth arts and education programs, officially recognized by the California State Senate following a nomination by Bates. The founder, Reign Morton, has been mentored by greats, including Stevie Wonder and the late Quincy Jones as well. Additional support went to the ONELOVE Foundation, which helps veterans, individuals, and families struggling with homelessness and mental illness.

She brings lived experience and healing. Her shows spotlight nonprofits that serve communities impacted by mental health issues, family trauma, housing instability, domestic violence, autism, suicide prevention, sexual assault, and other crises.

The evening drew a powerful response from the audience and featured notable community guests who came together in laughter, healing, and solidarity.
