RICHMOND, Calif. - Californer -- Alten Construction, a full-service San Francisco Bay Area commercial construction company, recently welcomed John Wagner to the family-owned construction firm.
With over 30 years of experience, Wagner has a demonstrated record of success in all phases of construction, including educational, industrial, commercial and residential, and has worked on a number of high-volume, complex construction projects.
Most recently, he served as superintendent for BHM Construction. During his time there, Wagner was a part of numerous school projects, including the modernization of Terra Linda High School, the seismic retrofit for the UC Davis Physical Sciences and Engineering Library and the Quantum Mathematics and Physics Building, and the modernization of El Centro/Willow Elementary School, among others.
In his new role as superintendent at Alten Construction, Wagner will coordinate and manage subcontractors and ensure productivity and efficiency in all scopes of the project, among other duties.

Wagner took construction management courses at the University of California Berkeley. He also possesses his first aid and CPR certification, has completed the 30-hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety course and is certified in CORIAN Technical Level 2 and 3, among other certifications.
