VISALIA, Calif. - Californer -- Career Education Review (CER) recently named Anthony Romo, Vice President of Admissions and Graduate Services at San Joaquin Valley College (SJVC), as a recipient of its Top 20 People Changing Career Education list – highlighting his incredible work in the postsecondary career education sector.
"It is an honor to be recognized for my impact on career education," said Romo. "I have always believed that positive leadership is built from a foundation of integrity, character and trust. The quality of a leader is reflected in the standards they set for themselves. At San Joaquin Valley College we hold all of our students to the same standards that helped guide me to success," added Romo.
Romo began his journey with SJVC more than 12 years ago in career services. After developing a successful team at SJVC Bakersfield, he was promoted to the corporate office as a specialist, which supported graduate employment for all the 17 locations in California. He was soon granted a promotion to Director of Graduate Services.
