BIG BEAR LAKE, Calif. - Californer -- The Big Bear Valley Historical Society announces its opening weekend for the Big Bear History Museum for its 2023 season, which will take place from May 27th to May 29th. The museum will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on weekends and Wednesdays until Labor Day, September 4th.
The Bear Valley Frontier Town & Historical Museum invites the public to join them for their opening day on Saturday, May 27th, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The museum is located at 800 Greenway in Big Bear City.
"The Big Bear Historical Museum has been a cornerstone of our community for many years, and we are thrilled to welcome back visitors this Memorial Day weekend to experience all the rich history that Bear Valley has to offer," said Jonni Vindiola, curator at the Big Bear Historical Society. "We invite our entire community and guests to come and explore the incredible exhibits and artifacts that tell the story of our unique and vibrant town."

The museum is home to a variety of exhibits and artifacts that showcase the history and culture of Bear Valley, including a replica of an old-time general store, a mining exhibit, and a collection of antique cars and trucks. Visitors can also tour the historic buildings and cabins that have been preserved on the museum grounds.
In addition to its regular hours, the museum also hosts special events and activities throughout the season, including guided tours, lectures, and hands-on workshops.
