SACRAMENTO ~ Governor Gavin Newsom has expressed his gratitude for the tentative agreement reached between the Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. The agreement, which will benefit all parties involved, will put a major piece of California's economy back to work. Newsom acknowledged the 11,000 writers who went on strike for over 100 days in order to express their concerns over their careers and livelihoods. He also noted that California's entertainment industry would not be what it is today without its world-class writers.
