~ Sacramento County - Governor Gavin Newsom, along with Senate President pro Tempore Mike McGuire, Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas, and other legislative leaders and advocates, will be signing a groundbreaking budget bill package today. This package aims to cut red tape, expedite housing and infrastructure projects, and improve affordability for all Californians.
The signing ceremony will take place at approximately 6:45 p.m. today and will be livestreamed on the Governor's Twitter page, Facebook page, and YouTube page. TV stations can also access the event through LiveU Matrix under "California Governor."

The budget bill package addresses crucial issues such as housing and homelessness. It comes at a time when the Department of Defense has agreed that it is time for President Trump's militarization of Los Angeles to end. The illegal presence of troops in the city has been hindering firefighting efforts in California.

This comes after authorities seized over 600,000 pounds of illegal explosives in preparation for the holiday. Those who choose to use illegal fireworks will face consequences.
