Carrington College Expands Healthcare Education with New Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program at Temecula Campus
TEMECULA, Calif. - Californer -- Carrington College is proud to announce the launch of its new Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program at the Temecula campus. This program is designed to prepare students for careers as entry-level diagnostic medical sonographers and can be completed in as little as 75 weeks.
The new DMS program at Carrington College blends classroom instruction, hands-on lab training, and clinical externships to deliver a comprehensive educational experience. Students will explore a range of topics, including anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, sonographic patient care, and the physical principles of ultrasonic waves. Coursework includes specialized training in areas such as obstetrics, gynecology, vascular studies, abdominal imaging, and superficial and small parts.

Graduates of the program will be eligible to take certification exams through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography® (ARDMS). The curriculum is designed to equip students with both the technical knowledge and interpersonal skills needed in today's healthcare environment, including patient care, critical analysis, communication, and ethical practice.
"Our new Carrington College Temecula campus is designed to replicate real-world clinical settings, giving students a strong foundation as they transition into the workforce," Gomez added. "This program, like all Carrington College program offerings, is built with student success in mind. We're not just training sonographers—we're shaping healthcare professionals."
Carrington College's Temecula campus (https://carrington.edu/location/temecula-california/) offers classrooms tailored to simulate professional environments such as hospitals and medical offices. The DMS lab is fully equipped with 2D ultrasound machines, specialty probes, and anatomical models to support students in mastering essential skills. The campus serves Temecula, Lake Elsinore, Wildomar, Canyon Lake, Sun City, and surrounding communities.
