The Code of Reality is a new book about self-transformation that blends ancient Hermetic wisdom with modern psychology and systems thinking. Packed with exercises, questions, and a free online workbook, it guides the reader through an expedition of their thoughts, impulses, and emotions.
AMSTERDAM - Californer -- Psychologist and consciousness researcher Frater C.D.M. has released his debut book The Code of Reality, offering a practical interpretation of the ancient Seven Hermetic Principles. The book aims to help readers understand the hidden structures behind their thoughts, emotions, and reality itself, without the usual cliches and dogma found in most self-help books.
Written for modern seekers, skeptics, and creatives alike, The Code of Reality bridges timeless metaphysical insights with contemporary psychology, neuroscience, and systems theory. Instead of presenting esoteric knowledge as abstract or mystical, Frater C.D.M. translates it into clear, actionable tools for self-awareness and change. It explores core Hermetic teachings such as Mentalism, Polarity, Rhythm, and Cause and Effect as symbolic lenses to analyze and rewire internal thought structures.

Each chapter includes practical exercises, diagrams, and personal mapping techniques designed to induce deep self-inquiry. According to author Frater C.D.M:
"If readers approach this work and the exercises with rigorous honesty, I can almost guarantee they won't recognize the person they've become by the end of that journey."
The Code of Reality also includes access to a free interactive workbook that allows readers to log insights, track psychological patterns, and print their progress. This platform makes it easy to integrate what the book teaches into everyday life, both digitally and offline.
About the Author
Frater C.D.M. is the pen name of Aron Bijl, a Dutch psychologist with a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Amsterdam. He has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed studies, including research on retroactive practice effects and questionable research practices in (para)psychological science.
Beyond academia, Bijl has spent over a decade practicing Hermetic Qabalah, treating it not as doctrine but as a living system of symbolic introspection. His unique approach combines empirical inquiry with the inner disciplines of transformation and ritual.
