The Kopp Foundation for Diabetes will host a youth-led fundraising night on October 8, 2025, at Blue Bell Country Club in Philadelphia. The event will feature dinner, inspiring speakers, raffles, and community engagement to support KFD's mission of advancing youth leadership, Type 1 diabetes awareness, innovation, and access to care.
PHILADELPHIA - Californer -- Philadelphia, PA – September 12, 2025 – The Kopp Foundation for Diabetes (KFD), a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to advancing Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) awareness, innovation, and access to care, will host its signature fundraising night, "By Youth, For Youth, With T1D," on Wednesday, October 8, from 5:30–9:00 PM at Blue Bell Country Club.
Set against the backdrop of one of Pennsylvania's most beautiful venues, guests will enjoy a warm and inspiring night filled with delicious cuisine, and powerful storytelling. The gala is more than a fundraiser , it is a celebration of youth leadership, resilience, and hope.

Founded by Maximilian Kopp and supported by scientists, educators, and policy leaders, the Kopp Foundation for Diabetes is rapidly expanding its national footprint. With youth-led chapters forming at top universities across the country, KFD is building a movement that puts students at the forefront of solving healthcare challenges.

- 6:30 PM – Youth Leadership Spotlight: Student leaders share their stories of living with T1D and building national college chapters at UCLA, UCSD, Pitt, Temple, and UMass Amherst.
- 7:00 PM – Inspiring Speakers: A lineup of speakers, including youth ambassadors, medical advisors, and community leaders, will address breakthroughs in diabetes care, innovation in non-invasive glucose monitoring, and the role of youth advocacy.
- 8:00 PM – Raffle Drawings & Recognition Ceremony: Attendees will have the chance to win raffle prizes and hear recognition of sponsors and community supporters.
