Attention Book Publishers and Newspapers: Here is a great new recipe for marketing things like Cookbooks! It's a brand new book distribution model that could generate tremendous revenues for book publishers and newspapers.
SAN MATEO, Calif. - Californer -- Book Publishers and Newspapers could make Tremendous Revenues from a new kind of book distribution model for things like Cookbooks, Nature Books, Travel Books, How-to Books and "Coffee-Table" books.
An advertising agency named R.M. Barrows Advertising & Public Relations in San Mateo, California, has developed a proposal for a new kind of distribution model for book publishing that could generate tremendous revenues for book publishers as well as for newspaper companies.
In short, this new kind of distribution model is for book publishing companies to start publishing a few chapters of books as magazines that could be distributed through newspapers.

Barrows has also developed some spreadsheets showing the estimated costs and potential revenues of this kind of distribution model.
It could generate very substantial revenues on an ongoing basis for book publishers and newspaper companies.
A) Revenues for book publishers would come from advertising sales.
Book publishing companies could sell it in a number of ways:
1) They could set up their own sales force.
2) They could hire a rep firm to sell it.
3) They could set up a deal to share revenues with newspapers to sell it.
4) Some combination of all of the above
B) Revenues for newspapers would come from
1) insertion fees
2) advertising sales (if the newspaper will be doing any of the advertising sales), and also...
3) printing markups (if the newspapers will be involved in any of the printing of these inserts)
It is an ideal business for newspapers because they can make a lot of money from these kinds of inserts on a regular basis.

From the newspaper end of the business, newspapers can make money from printing, inserting and advertising sales.
From the book publishing side of the business, book publishers might be able to make a lot more money than they could have ever made off of low volume items like cookbooks, nature books and how-to books, and they would have a lot less risk than they would have in a traditional publishing model.
Barrows has also developed several other proposals that could help generate tremendous revenues for newspapers, broadcasting, cable and streaming companies, magazines, internet media companies and the internet divisions of multimedia companies.
Companies that would be interested in taking a look at the "Books as Magazines...Distributed through Newspapers" proposal should contact Robert Barrows at R.M. Barrows, Inc. Advertising & Public Relations at 650-344-4405, www.barrows.com
