Long Beach, CA ~ The City of Long Beach, in partnership with Pacific Gateway Workforce Innovation Network, is launching the Long Beach Reentry Achievement Program to provide supportive services to formerly incarcerated community members and their families. The program will connect 150 formerly incarcerated community members and their families to Long Beach-based case management, mental health, health and social services and employment services. Additionally, the program will engage in meaningful community outreach to a minimum of 300 formerly incarcerated community members and their families to increase awareness of services.
The goals of the Long Beach Reentry Achievement Program are to reduce recidivism by increasing awareness of available supportive services and increasing opportunities for employment, mental health services, housing, and case management services that support the success reintegration of formerly incarcerated community members. The program will also support family reunification by forming a centralized hub for reentry services in Long Beach.
