Jeffrey Gayer named President & CEO; Jeff Palmer and Craig Dixon retire
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Californer -- Today CMC Group Inc. announced the completion of a change in senior leadership that began January 1. Former Executive Vice President of Product Development & Marketing Jeffrey Gayer has been named President & CEO of CMC Group Inc., including DayMark® Safety Systems, DayMark® UK, Century Label, SmartSolve® Industries and Markham Converting. Jeff Palmer, President of DayMark Safety Systems, and Craig Dixon, CEO of CMC Group, have retired, effective June 30.
Each with more than 30 years of service to CMC Group, Jeff Palmer and Craig Dixon, have positively influenced CMC's customer, supplier, and team member communities throughout their careers. Both rose within the company, holding leadership positions in operations, production management, information technology, business development and sales. They also both led efforts to create the leadership succession plan in anticipation of their retirement in 2020. Together, with CMC Board Chairman and Founder Al Caperna, Palmer and Dixon have named Jeffrey Gayer President & CEO of CMC Group.

Before joining CMC Group in 2016, Gayer was a 25-year veteran of the janitorial/sanitary supply industry, where he held senior positions in strategic marketing and category management. A graduate of Wright State University, Gayer has been awarded several patents and completed numerous certifications and educational programs. In the past, he has acted as an adjunct professor of industrial engineering at his alma mater.
"As I look back on CMC Group's rich history of fostering people and innovation, I can see clearly that as man develops plans, God really does direct our steps," says Caperna. "Today we are smiling, knowing that Craig and Jeff have found the right leader in Jeff Gayer, to continue to bring CMC Group forward into the future."
