Couple Turn 35 Years of Rescuing Bully Breeds Into a Natural Dog Chew Brand for the US Market

BEAUMONT, Calif. - Californer -- For more than 35 years, Vips and Simon Kirrage have opened their home to the dogs others could not manage: large breeds and bull breeds with health and behaviour challenges. The business began with Roxy, a French Mastiff the couple rescued from a puppy mill when she had only hours left. Vips spent 3.5 years caring for her with natural, non-chemical choices, and when Roxy passed away, SolaPup became her legacy.

"We are a husband and wife team working from a small Essex town, I am Swedish and Simon is English, and we sell to the other side of the Atlantic," said Vips Kirrage, co-founder. The brand is growing through word of mouth, dog owner communities, breed clubs and independent pet shops. Vips and Simon work closely with breed clubs and rescues, and the brand's ambassadors are everyday dog owners sharing their own dogs' stories.
