ANAHEIM, Calif. - Californer -- C&R Productions, in partnership with the Chance Theater of Anaheim, will present "Blackbird" by David Harrower for 10 performances in June. This provocative drama, directed by Christa Havenhill, features Ron Hastings as Ray and Dakota Wolf as Una.
Actors in the 90-minute play will perform on the Fyda-Mar Stage, an intimate 50-seat venue.
After years in prison, Ray, now 56, has a new identity and has made a new life for himself. Upon seeing a photo of Ray in a magazine, Una, now 27, arrives unannounced at his office. Guilt, rage and raw emotions run high as they recollect the passionate relationship they had 15 years ago, when she was 12-years-old and he was 40.
