SOLEDAD, Calif., July 18, 2024 ~ As the summer season heats up, CRŪ Winery is on the lookout for the ultimate chowder recipe with their Chowder Cook-Off Contest. The contest, which runs until August 6th, is open to all California residents who believe they have what it takes to create a winning chowder dish.
The inspiration behind the Chowder Cook-Off comes from CRŪ Winery's dedication to their Central Coast wines and their tasting room located in Monterey's Santa Lucia Highlands. The winery is seeking chowder recipes that not only showcase creativity and overall quality, but also pair well with their selection of single vineyard Chardonnays.
Out of all the submissions received, two runners-up will be chosen by CRŪ Winery. These lucky individuals will be awarded a 2-night stay in beautiful Monterey, California. During their visit, they will have the opportunity to participate in the Chowder Cook-Off at CRŪ Winery's Santa Lucia Highlands Tasting Room. Here, they will present their chowder recipe to a panel of judges who will determine the ultimate winner and crown them as the Chowder Cook-Off Champion.
