An entire female cast and crew collaborated to film an 8 episode reality show about artist in San Diego. Now, an entire year after filiming, they are collaborating once again to form a photography and modeling workshop to further bring together the artistic community in the city they once struggled to thrive in as solo artist.
SAN DIEGO - Californer -- Members of San Diego's first reality web series, The Spectrum, are hosting a lighting workshop Saturday, December 2, 2022 from 6 pm to 8 pm. "Iconic Lighting" is a two-hour event where participants will learn one light set-ups, dramatic styling, and base form poses that are strong, powerful, and well, iconic with simple light strobe.
Although the first season has ended, the producer and director of The Spectrum, Tanisha Cardwell, has kept the positive feminine energy captured alive through various ongoing collaborations. Iconic Lighting with Katherine Pina, the lead photographer in the reality web series', is just one such event. Just as on the web series, each challenge introduced the full model cast to new local, female entrepreneurs. As a result, many bonds and connections were formed throughout San Diego's local community of feminine creatives.

The Spectrum Web Series is a project born completely out of Ms. Cardwell's drive and artistic expression. She always had a very focused, dedicated drive to be among the best, the smartest, and/or the leaders of her class, and that tenacity and competitive spirit carried over to college where she graduated with a B.S. in Finance from Robert H. Smith business school.
It was in college that Ms. Cardwell was first introduced to the world of modeling and acting when she was given an opportunity to model for a local clothing line. Upon moving from the East Coast to the West Coast, she noticed that her "look" was not as popular. This led Ms. Cardwell to create opportunities for herself and for other women facing similar setbacks. The Spectrum Reality Web Series is the first project born out of that drive.
After the shows filming Ms. Cardwell worked hard to keep the collaborative spirit alive and jumped head first into Katrine Pina's idea to host a photographer workshop. The workshop features hands on instruction from the series head photographer, Katrina Pina herself, and modeling by 2 of the series models along with 2 additional talented models from San Diego.
