With the shift from fossil fuels to more carbon-friendly options for boilers and related fired equipment applications, the company is dedicated to continuing their legacy of innovation in the industry by offering sustainable solutions. This includes the use of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) for regulating NOx and CO emissions, electric boiler options for zero emissions production, future hydrogen firing, and other initiatives geared towards sustainability of the boiler industry. "We first worked with Gordon 21 years ago providing a rental boiler and CataStak™ SCR system for temporary use at NRG's large district energy steam plant in San Francisco. Years later, we worked with him again on multiple projects providing new, permanent boilers and urea-based SCR systems for ultra-low NOx performance," stated Larry Day, President and CEO of Nationwide Boiler. "Gordon's experience running and managing a large district energy steam plant brings a unique customer and user perspective to our business. That, paired with his knowledge of renewable energy, positions him well to help us excel in our path towards environmental sustainability."
